This project was intended to rehabilitate the existing 1.63km of irrigation system to supply the Manatuto District farmland. The project was completed within 14 weeks (6 weeks ahead of schedule) including additional variation orders. Manpower on site was predominantly made up of Timorese workers, skilled and unskilled.

• 167m concrete siphon laid 5 meters below the existing river bed
• 191m concrete culvert canal laid 3 meters below existing ground level
• 2 drop structures and 1 scouring gate
