Picnic Bay Sewerage Stage 2
| Description | Previous sewerage needs of the Picnic Bay Community on Magnetic Island North Queensland was served by individual septic tanks located on each landowners property. This project commissioned by the Townsville City Council made available a new gravity sewer system for over 90 houses. The sewer system contains over 2klm of sewer mains and more than 60 cast in situ manholes. The Project eliminated the contamination of ground water from the septic tanks therefore increasing the amount of recycled water made available for use throughout Picnic Bay. |
